Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Providing essential support during surgical procedures, this role ensures patient safety and upholds professional and hospital standards. Working closely with registered nurses and the wider healthcare team, you will help coordinate and implement patient care in an operating room setting. Key Responsibilities: - Assist registered nurses in patient care planning and collaboration with health team members. - Maintain asepsis throughout surgical procedures and perform scrubbing duties. - Communicate patient information accurately to relevant personnel. - Account for all surgical equipment and supplies used during procedures. - Support effective teamwork and resolve issues to meet customer service quality standards. - Serve as a clinical preceptor for scrubbing practices, working alongside educators and patient care coordinators. - Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of the unit and surgical equipment. Qualifications and Desired Experience: - Experience or training in Operating Room Technology (ORT) or equivalent nursing skills. - Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues. - Ability to maintain adaptability in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. - Commitment to infection control and patient safety protocols. - Prior experience in a surgical or hospital setting preferred. - Willingness to take on preceptor and mentoring responsibilities.
