healthcare system in Georgetown, South Carolina is seeking a
Pathology Assistant to support surgical pathology laboratory
operations. The role involves performing gross examination of
surgical specimens, preparing tissues for histologic processing,
and ensuring proper specimen documentation. The Pathology Assistant
plays a critical role in supporting pathologists and maintaining
efficient laboratory workflow. This position offers a structured
weekday schedule with no on-call responsibilities. Compensation:

examination and dissection of surgical specimens • Prepare tissue
samples for histologic processing and analysis • Document specimen
findings accurately in laboratory records • Maintain compliance
with laboratory protocols and safety standards • Collaborate with
pathologists to support diagnostic processes • Assist in
maintaining efficient laboratory workflow • Complete daily caseload
within scheduled shift Qualifications • Certified Pathology
Assistant (ASCP required) • Experience in surgical pathology
specimen grossing • Knowledge of pathology laboratory procedures
and specimen handling • Ability to work efficiently in a hospital
laboratory environment • Experience with clinical laboratory
workflow preferred Working Hours Schedule: Monday – Friday Hours:
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Lunch Break: 1 hour unpaid Call: No call required
Assignment Duration: Ongoing coverage until full-time hire is
