software tools that a repair shop needs to run a highly profitable
shop, in one user-friendly, cost-effective platform. Through the
Steer suite, we allow the shop owner to get back to focusing on
what matters, and to stop worrying about marketing and customer
retention. Steer began as an online directory for drivers to find a
local mechanic. Fast forward to today, Steer has launched a
complete Customer Relationship Management (CRM) marketing suite,
complete with text messaging, email automation, direct mail
integration, reputation management, appointment reminders,
declined/recommended services, and many other features. We are
always innovating and we are proud to be a leader in the automotive
repair industry. In August 2024 Steer acquired AutoOps - the leader
in modern, intelligent, and fully integrated scheduling software
for auto repair shops. AutoOps allows customers to smoothly
schedule through a shop's website and Google Business Profile.
About the Role We're building a new team in a rapidly growing auto
tech vertical—and we're looking for a Business Development
Representative to help us make it happen. In this role, you'll
uncover new business opportunities, run engaging product demos, and
guide customers through a fast, consultative sales process. If you

top priorities. Location: Onsite in Charleston, SC Compensation:
$90k OTE ($60k base commission) You Are Dependable, consistent, and
deadline-driven. Professional, courteous, and empathetic toward
customers. Resilient in the face of rejection, turning setbacks
into growth opportunities. Experienced in fast-paced sales
environments with a track record of hitting targets. Confident in
your ability to sell, build relationships, and communicate
effectively. Open to feedback, collaborative, and always learning.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and driven by a growth mindset.
You Will Make high-volume outbound cold calls and lead online
product demos. Become an expert in our SaaS product and target
market. Maintain accurate sales records and forecasts in our CRM.
Use a consultative approach to tailor solutions to prospect needs.
You Have Must Have: 1 years of sales experience with proven quota
attainment. Experience running product demos/consultations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong time
management and organizational abilities. Ability to work onsite in
Waltham, MA, 5 days/week. Nice to Have: SaaS sales experience.
Automotive industry knowledge. CRM expertise for pipeline
management. Experience with a fast sales cycle (1-2 call close).
