Summary: Arcadia Publishing is seeking a Data Analyst in their Mt. Pleasant, SC office. This role is in an area of explosive growth for Arcadia and is to provide strong relationships with our customers and provide benefits such as; reduced inventory and increased turns, reduced out of stocks and increased sales, as well as reduced administrative costs. The candidate will utilize customers' sales and forecasting data to guide the company towards a leaner supply chain. This position will report to the SBT Data Manager. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily review of data integrity which includes sales, outs, forecasts, regular turn and promotional information to determine if replenishment to customers is needed in order to manage adequate inventory levels Manage orders and resolve any errors that may occur. Execute order preparation to check item availability. Work with internal teams to ensure product is available in our distribution center Manage key performance metrics as it relates to the business. Run reports such as customers' consumption data, item level inventory positions, days of supply, and out of stocks Perform weekly level forecast review. Review and manage forecasts using current and historical demand and other sales trends. Perform new item creation and set-up. Review customer distribution level inventory and outliers to prevent errors with replenishment orders Effectively work with distribution center to ensure timely "on-time" - deliveries to customer Build strong relationships with Buyer and Sales teams and manage customer's demand. Monitor overall inventory levels while maintaining highest possible inventory turns and the lowest quantity of excess or aged or obsolete inventory Notify customer in writing if and when significant stock shortages are known before they occur Provides customer service to and project management for all VMI/SBT accounts Collaborates with other team members and other departments regarding VMI/SBT business development and logistics Identifies exceptions and investigates Provides weekly sales data for VMI/SBT customers Assists with entering VMI/SBT replenishment orders Maintains product catalogs for customers Cross-trains to support other team members Other Sales Support duties as assigned Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years working in the area of inventory control, forecasting, demand planning, or VMI Analyst is a plus, but not required Basic knowledge of replenishment, forecasting, order management and customer service relation functions Knowledge of basic computer functions, Microsoft Office Suite with advanced proficiency with Excel Ability to thrive in a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data Well organized, methodical thinker with excellent decision-making skills Ability to analyze and interpret large data sets to identify trends and issues
