This position reports to: Director, MTP Kidscoast

The mission: Seacoast Church goes all out in our mission to help others Find God, Grow their Faith, Discover their Purpose, and Make a Difference. The Kidscoast Next Steps Leader helps other discover their purpose by recognizing the potential in others and placing them in Dream Team roles that maximize their personal strengths and spiritual giftings.

Key Responsibilities:

Onboarding New Volunteers and Clarifying Next Steps

In an effort to build and equip a Dream Team to represent the Kidscoast Ministry, Next Steps Leader will respond to Connect Cards and follow up on any potential leads generated from Next Steps, Serve Sundae and other events.

Meet with people who are interested learning about serving in Kidscoast to determine interests, gauge level of commitment, cast vision and set expectations.

Provide information on Kidscoast Dream Team policies and procedures.

Ensure that each potential leader completes a leadership application and contact all references.

Ensure each potential leader completes a background check prior to serving.

Schedule new leaders using Planning Center.

Serve as a liaison between the new leader and the staff.

Represent Kidscoast during Next Steps Week 4 and other events where serving within the church is being promoted.

Conduct monthly orientation sessions for potential leaders.

Document all information using Ministry Platform.

Weekend Responsibilities

Meet new members of the Dream Team and introduce them (hand-off) to their coaches

Ensure Kidscoast representation at Next Steps, Serve Sundae, etc.

Be available to step in to areas within the ministry where help is needed.

Team Player:

Be an active leader/planner in Kidscoast special events such as Kids Camp, NXT GEN Weekend, UpGrade Weekend, etc.

Attend weekly Kidscoast meeting; attend all 1-on-1 meetings with leader; attend monthly All-Staff meeting

Support the goals of Kidscoast by demonstrating teamwork and performing other duties as requested with excellence

Experience in building teams and empowering volunteer leaders

Demonstrate spiritual gift to serve others in team environment

Manage priorities and proficient in professional communication
