As Supervisor Materials II, you will be responsible for all activities in the Shipping and Receiving Departments including inventory accuracy through the cycle count program and the overall responsibility of shipping the finished product(s) to the customer - OTIF; as well as meeting the applicable Safety, Quality, Health & Environmental and Human Resources policies and procedures.

Reporting directly to the Director of Materials, this position is based in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan*.

Major Accountability:

* Ensures coordination of departmental activities to reach OTIF initiatives and metrics. * Supervises para-professional employees. * Sets day-to-day operational objectives for team.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

* Delegates work assignments and provides guidance and direction to staff. * Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders. * Ensures materials and service suppliers meet visual quality, delivery, and service requirements. * Participates in initiatives to resolve quality, delivery or service issues with the supply chain; ensures issue resolution. * Maintains system and records of continuous cycle count program. Takes corrective action at root cause of variances. * Fosters a culture of continuous improvement; develops ideas for improvement and participates in cross functional CIP teams. * Provides leadership as outlined by the Safety Management System including performing safety inspections, interactive observations, SLAM's, JSA reviews, and incident investigations. Train employees on safety procedures and policies. * Directs/instructs employees consistent with company policies and in accordance with collective bargaining agreements. * Leads recruitment, coaching, counseling, performance management, associate development and related HR activities for materials and logistics group. * Supports adherence to company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

* Associate degree or equivalent experience. * 8+ years of Experience * Fundamental software applications skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) * Good verbal and written communication skills. * Demonstrated problem-solving skills. * Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) for the job being performed. * Work effectively with all levels of management and staff. * The Delfield Company in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan manufactures world class product brands such as Delfield and Multiplex. Products include prep tables, worktop refrigeration, refrigerated equipment stands, mobile serving lines, custom refrigeration, frozen beverage dispensing equipment. The facility in Mt.
