UAV SYSTEMS INTEGRATION ENGINEER
Terraview is the most exciting new player in the UAS industry and we are growing! To meet tremendous demand from customers across the enterprise, industrial, public safety and government markets, we are actively looking for an expert UAV Systems Integration Engineer to join our Charleston, SC team.
If drones are your passion, then this is the position for you. The successful candidate will be a highly organized self-starter who has direct, hands-on experience assembling, modifying, repairing, and flying SUAS. The candidate must have strong prototyping experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility, curiosity and a burning desire to wear many hats are core to your being---you will need to be willing to take on any number of tasks that face a small, fast growing company. Deep experience in UAV technology is required, especially autopilot and flight control logic, and a background in engineering or military UAV operations would be ideal.
Representative Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for supporting the assembly, integration, flight test, and demonstrations of various sensors and payloads on Group 1 and 2 UAS
• Troubleshoot sensor integration issues and develop detailed root cause analyses following proper engineering methodologies
• SUAS Flight control systems integration
• SUAS Ground control and mission planning systems integration
• Pre-test flight planning, Post-flight data management, and operational paperwork
• Assisting in the maintenance and preparation of flight equipment, and application of risk assessments
• Manage development and production flight test operations with emphasis on safety and quality control
• Coordinate with engineering team on integration of complementary technologies
• Assist in product documentation and manual development
• Perform payload analyses and develop reporting deliverables for internal and external partnersRequirements
  • Two-year technical degree
  • 3-4 years applicable industry experience
  • Expert knowledge of Pixhawk 2.1, PX4, other, flight control systems
  • Expert knowledge of UAV configuration, performance evaluation, payload integration, autopilot tuning and repair
  • Expert knowledge of SUAS hardware, software and sensors
  • Outstanding ability to communicate technical details in simplified terms
  • Must be able to utilize a variety of computer applications including MS Office, MATLAB, CAD, Autodesk, Solidworks, etc. as well as collaboration tools such as Jira
  • Experience with carbon fiber, fiberglass, 3D Printers and component fabrication
  • Needs to have hands-on experience with UAV system assembly processes
  • Needs to have experience with common hand tools and power tools
  • Attention to detail, strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approachPreferred
    • Software systems development experience
    • Systems integration or systems engineering training and experience
