Power Grids is seeking a Vice President - Product Group Leader -
North America for its Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania location. This
role is responsible for ensuring profit & loss and business growth
through the local representation of the Global Product Group,
strong custom-er relations and active product portfolio management.
Coach localization of production ensure delivery of quality to
customers and secure profitability of the business by close
collaboration with NAM Operations & Quality Management.
Your responsibilities Implement the Global Product Group
strategy in the Hub of North America and ensure business
development, including profit and loss (P&L), in allocated
market. Provide input to Global Product Group strategy.
Ensure development of performance targets in line with global
targets and ensure achievement through regular oversight and
definition of improvement actions as needed.
Identify and evaluate market opportunities and decide
appropriate activities in line with the strategy. Ensure profitable
business growth in allocated markets.
Coach localization of DTB production, oversee production and/or
execution of high-quality products, services and processes. Monitor
quality-metrics identify opportunities for improvement in local
execution and oversees improvement activities
Ensure the execution of projects according to agreed targets in
terms of schedule, quality, financial results and customer
Direct the development of goals, objectives and plans for the
organization. Oversee product groups and ensure compliance with
Company policies and procedures, and with codes and regulations.
Initiate measures to ensure quality of products and responsiveness
to customer requirements.
Direct investigations and analyses, and the development of
proposals depicting cost benefits and other ad-vantages associated
with proposed actions. Negotiate or manage negotiations that
typically have considerable impact on the organization.
Represent the organization in meetings and conferences, provide
technical and business advice and play a key role in formulating
plans. Direct the investigation of new methods, materials and
techniques and the costs/benefits of their utilization.
Provide counsel and support to senior managers and promote
equitable resolution of problems while continuing to protect the
interests of the Company and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Provide guidance and arrange for training of staff. Manage and
document employee performance and initiate responsive actions.
Your background Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business and
15 plus years of experience,
Master’s degree in engineering, business and 12 plus years of
Candidate must already have a work authorization that would
permit them to work for Hitachi ABB Power Grids in the United
Strong business leadership skills and fluent in English. French
and Spanish beneficial
Leading and successfully managing an international organization
with P&L responsibility performing diverse and complex business
functions. Experience in building up High Voltage DTB business is
of large benefit. Managing similar factory production facility with
business volume >$200M USD.
