Veterans Affairs. We are currently recruiting for a full-time
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide services at the Veterans
Administration Medical Center in Charleston, SC. Responsibilities:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsibilities shall include,
but are not limited to, the following: Under the supervision of the
nurse manager, the LPN works closely with others as needed in the
Acute Care Medical/Surgical areas and Primary Care settings
throughout Charleston VA and surrounding Community-Based Outpatient
Clinics. The LPN functions both dependently and independently with
guidance and direction from the Nurse Manager/designee. The LPN may
be utilized as needed in the Acute Care Medical/Surgical areas,
ambulatory/outpatient care clinics, and the outpatient lab. The LPN
may be utilized as needed in the Acute Care Medical/Surgical areas,
ambulatory/outpatient care clinics, and the outpatient lab. The LPN
must demonstrate the ability to serve as a responsible member of
the nursing team and interact [in an appropriate manner] with
patients, family members, professionals and [other] supportive
personnel [involved in the delivery of] patient care, incorporating
acceptable, established customer service standards into practice.
Requirements: The Licensed Practical Nurse shall have the
following: Be a graduate of a state-approved school of
practical/vocational nursing At least twenty-four (24) months of
current experience and must have worked within the last 6 months in
a primary care setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Must pass a WJM and Veterans Administration Medical Center
background check. Curriculum Must Include: At least the following
information: Degrees earned. Career history. Awards and
certifications received. Work references include the name of the
organization(s), the number of years of service rendered, the
address, and the name and phone number of the point of contact. WJM
