The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Department of
Surgery is seeking a Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon at the late
Assistant to Associate Professor level. This position offers an
exciting opportunity for academic advancement and leadership in
Emergency General Surgery (EGS), including potential appointment as
EGS Section Chief for qualified candidates. Position
Requirements/Details Board Certified or Board Eligible in General
Surgery and Surgical Critical Care Eligible for medical licensure
in South Carolina Minimum of 3 years post-fellowship clinical
experience Demonstrated clinical interest and expertise in
Emergency General Surgery (EGS) Interest in pursuing a career in
academic surgery Appropriate research experience Leadership
experience or potential for leadership in EGS strongly preferred

recognized expertise in complex chest wall injury management,
community-based violence prevention, and global surgery. The team
