working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Savannah,
Georgia, 31405! Job Title: PCU RN for ER HOLDING AREA Profession:
RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 14 weeks Shift:
12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years
of recent experience License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS
(AHA) Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU experience or 1
year of PCU with 1 years of telemetry, ER, or ICU experience. -
References should be from recent assignments. Description: This
position is for an RN in a stepdown unit for an ER holding area.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5 and will adjust based on
acuity. Candidates must have a stepdown skill set required for the
unit. Common diagnoses include cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, and
critical care. Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7 and is
responsible for completing ABGs and breathing treatments upon
request. RNs are required to read their own telemetry strips and
save them into the chart. X-ray and CT are available in the ER with
their own technicians for transport. Phlebotomy services are not
available in the ER; RNs will perform lab draws. Weekend
requirements include working at least 6 weekend days or nights in a
6-week schedule, which is equivalent to every other weekend.
Holiday requirements depend on department needs. There is no call
or standby requirement for this position. Floating to other units
is not required. The dress code for this position is navy scrubs.
Department-specific orientation occurs during the first week of the
contract. The cancellation policy is limited to 2 shifts per
assignment. The charting system used is MEDITECH. 5 Benefits of
