experience in Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine,
Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Robotics, and Total Joints.
Description: Position for an Ambulatory Operating Room RN.
Scheduled day off at the needs of the department, with special
requests considered if possible. Scheduled late stays may occur a
few times per month. No on-call requirement. Possibility of
floating within the Perioperative facility may be necessary.
Certifications include a SC or Compact License, BLS, and a
radiation badge. Experience in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT,
GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, and Robotics is
required. General surgery, labor and delivery, and pediatrics are
not included in the caseload. First-timers are not accepted for
this position. Candidates must be located within a 60-mile radius
to qualify. All requests for time off must be included at the time
of submission. Approval will depend on facility needs. The facility
may call off one shift per two-week period. The unit comprises 10
RNs and 1 PCT with a daily census of 10-20 patients across five
ORs. The pre/post RN is responsible for preparing patients
pre-surgery, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring safe recovery
post-anesthesia. This unit mainly cares for patients undergoing
orthopedic surgeries and interventional procedures. Experience in
administering IVs, patient monitoring, and collaboration with
surgical teams is necessary. Special procedures include total joint
replacements, arthroscopies, and other orthopedic surgeries.
Standard OR equipment includes Skytron slider beds, articulation
systems, and integrated arthroscopy tools. Travelers may be
assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season. RTO
requests after submission will not be accepted. 5 Benefits of
