registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years Stepdown RN
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. A growing healthcare
facility in Savannah, GA is seeking experienced Stepdown Registered
Nurses (PCU RN) for a contract position. This role offers the
opportunity to apply critical nursing skills in a combined
Progressive Care and Medical-Surgical setting supporting a diverse
patient population. Candidates should bring at least two years of
hospital experience in a similar work environment and have
completed at least one prior travel assignment. Qualifications and
Desired Experience: Active RN license with at least 2 years of
hospital PCU or Stepdown nursing Current BLS and ACLS certification
required Experience in acute care with patients having conditions
such as heart failure, sickle cell disease, and other
medical-surgical diagnoses Familiarity with telemetry and titration
of set rate drips Ability to pull and manage labs independently
without phlebotomy duties Experience working in units with
nurse-to-patient ratios of approximately 1:4-5 Successful
completion of at least one travel nursing contract Willingness to
comply with a strict 100-mile radius rule excluding local
candidates Strong communication and teamwork skills, including
charge nurse assignments as needed Key Responsibilities: Provide
direct nursing care in a 12-bed PCU unit with a blend of Med-Surg
and Stepdown patients Monitor patient telemetry utilizing Space
Labs equipment with remote monitoring support Safely titrate drips
per protocol and manage patient care plans Collaborate with
interdisciplinary team members, including respiratory therapists
and nurse aides Participate in self-scheduling and work every other
weekend plus holidays Complete unit-specific orientation, including
computer skill testing and precepted shifts Location
