HCA Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will provide care for patients recovering from major surgeries. Based in a fast-paced and supportive environment, this position requires keen attention to detail, excellent patient care skills, and a commitment to the recovery and wellness of postoperative patients. This role is pivotal in helping patients transition from intensive care to the general nursing floor, ensuring they receive the optimal level of care during a critical recovery period. Monitor and assess post-surgical patients, ensuring their stabilization in a stepdown unit. Administer medications, manage pain, and assist in patient recovery and rehabilitation. Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to plan and execute patient care strategies. Educate patients and their families on postoperative care and recovery processes. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Proficient in managing complex patient care and technology associated with stepdown care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions. Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment. BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification. ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification is preferred.
