working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in
Charleston, South Carolina, 29425! Job Title: Pediatric Critical
Care Float Pool RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty:
Pediatric Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per
Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric ICU
experience required. First-time travelers accepted if they have the
necessary experience. License: South Carolina or
Multi-State/Compact State RN License required. Certifications: BLS
certification required. PALS certification required. Must-Have:
Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Skills in
interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, and
infection control. Proficiency in central line care, PICC line
management, and pediatric dosage calculations. Experience in
managing chest tubes, care of ventilated patients, and interpreting
arterial blood gases (ABGs). Understanding of isolation precautions
and PPE use. Description: The Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RN
will work three 12-hour day shifts each week. The hours will be
from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The nurse will float to various pediatric
units as needed. Ratios for patient care will be 1:2 or 1:3.
Weekend requirements include working every other weekend with
holiday rotation. The role involves collaboration with
interdisciplinary support teams. Eligible candidates should have
skills in continuous sedation and IV vasopressor management. Care
of patients on ECMO and BiPAP/CPAP is preferred. Travelers should
be aware that they may be assigned to emergency response teams
during hurricane season, which runs from June through November. 5
