working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVU RN in Charleston,
South Carolina, 29406! Job Title: Traveler RN Profession:
Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13
weeks Shift: 07:00-17:00 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2
years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, RN Must-Have:
- Thoracic and Vascular experience to include heart and valve
replacements. - Strong skills in circulating RN for general OR
including Ortho, Neuro, Plastics, Vascular, Trauma, and Robotic
cases. - Advanced skills in positioning, prepping, and facilitating
surgical cases. Description: The traveler shall be scheduled in
accordance with facility policy. The expectation is to work every
other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
Experience in thoracic and vascular procedures, including heart and
valve replacements, is required. Unit specifics include 17 beds
with a patient ratio of 1:1. There is 1 RN and 1 CST per room, with
turnover staff available, alongside 1 charge RN and 4:1 anesthesia
coverage. In-house night shift staff are also present. The type of
equipment used includes an XI Robot, advanced spine technologies,
and a Mako joint robot. Documentation is managed through a Meditech
system. Scheduling includes 3 call shifts (12-hour) over a 4-week
period, with both day and night shifts available. No floating
policy is in place. Patient experience requirements include
adherence to AIDET principles. This position requires a circulating
RN knowledgeable in general operating room procedures across
various specialties. Surgical procedures performed in the unit span
general, trauma, orthopedic, urology, GYN, and neuro specialties,
along with complex cardiovascular surgeries. The support from
