Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Charleston, SC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,752 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: State RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: PCU/Stepdown experience required Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs Open to accommodating block schedule upon manager's approval Description: Position is for a PCU RN in the Neuroscience unit. Ratios are 1:3-1:4, based on patient acuity. Shifts are three 12-hour nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM with holidays as needed. Weekend requirement is 4-5 shifts in a four-week period as needed. No call requirements are requested. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates should have experience with blood product administration, central line care/management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration. Travelers are subject to the same attendance policy as permanent staff. All weekend callouts require a makeup shift within 7-10 days. Holiday callouts require a doctor's note. Candidates should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November, with increased activity in August and September. All travelers should ensure they do not confirm a new assignment during this time. Local candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Previous permanent staff must be separated from the system for one year before returning as travelers. This position prioritizes candidates with an active state license. Candidates with a pending license will still be considered if proof of application is provided.
