Registered Nurse Certifications: American Heart Association BLS for
Healthcare Provider Card required Must-Have: Ability to scrub and
circulate, BSN preferred Description: Provide nursing care for
patients following established standards and practices in
accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Apply professional nursing
theory and practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
patient care. Engage in constant interaction with patients,
families, physicians, employees, and visitors. Perform patient
assessments reflecting physical, psychological, socio-cultural,
spiritual, cognitive needs, and functional abilities through
systematic data collection and review. Plan and prioritize care
based on assessments, evaluate patient progress, and revise care to
attain expected outcomes. Include patients and families in planning
care and evaluating programs and outcomes. Demonstrate clinical
competencies in specific areas of practice as described in
departmental performance standards. Assess patient and family
learning needs, plan and provide education, and evaluate the
effectiveness of teaching. Identify and respond appropriately to
ethical issues in patient care. Provide nursing care in a
non-judgmental manner that respects patient diversity and
acknowledges patient rights. Serve as a resource to others in
addressing ethical dilemmas in patient care. Initiate collaborative
dialogue with physicians and coordinate multidisciplinary
activities to plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care. Act as a
patient advocate to ensure rights are met. Ensure compliance with
regulatory requirements, core measures, patient safety, and quality
initiatives to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. Perform other
duties and responsibilities as required. Must be able to scrub and
circulate. Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures is
necessary to administer patient care and establish a safe work
environment. Ability to analyze situations and apply critical
thinking. Communicate clearly and react calmly in emergency
situations. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting/moving
patients are required. Intermittent lifting, carrying, pushing, or
pulling up to 50 lbs may occur. Frequent use of finger and hand
dexterity, and constant reaching with hands and arms is necessary.
Exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue is possible, along with
potential exposure to infectious materials and communicable
diseases. May require work under stressful conditions, deadlines,
or irregular hours. Call and weekend/holiday work may be necessary
based on departmental needs. BSN is preferred or required within
five years of hire date. Graduate of an accredited school or
