Job Title: ER Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ER experience required. License: South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN License required. Certifications: AHA certifications required - BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC. Must-Have: - Experience working in an Emergency Room setting. - Ability to manage patient ratios of 6:1 for boarders and 4:1 for ED patients. - Proficiency in relevant clinical skills including intubation, phlebotomy, and IV management. - Willingness to work every other weekend. - No call requirement. Description: Position requires registered nurses to provide emergency care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The emergency department features resources for trauma and specialty care services. Nurses will care for a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Staff will utilize an electronic charting system. Competence in handling emergency medications and managing multi-system organ dysfunction is essential. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for patient assessment and treatment planning is required. Nurses may need to float between similar units or facilities as required by staffing needs. Candidates must be prepared to accommodate changes in scheduling based on facility needs. The work will include participation in emergency response protocols during designated seasons. All required vaccinations must be up-to-date as mandated by facility policies. RTO must be disclosed prior to the submission process.
