is seeking to provide students and recent graduates of Boeing
Pre-Employment Training (BPET) certified academic courses and
Military Occupation Codes with the opportunity to join our 787
production teams working as an Aircraft Assembly Electrical or
System Mechanic to support the 787-production system in North
Charleston, South Carolina on a variable shift . Your BPET
Endorsement Form will outline the specific roles for which your
course or Military Occupation Code qualifies you for a direct offer

leverage their prior experience, along with the knowledge gained
through foundational training and certifications, to complete daily
assigned tasks safely and with quality. Individuals will be
responsible for identifying parts and tooling within their work
locations on advanced airplanes by interpreting technical drawings
to accurately complete detailed work instructions. Attention to
detail and strict compliance with procedures are critical to
correctly identify all necessary hand tools, parts, and equipment
required to ensure defect-free work. This position is physically
demanding, and employment is contingent upon successful completion

position is exclusively open to students who have completed Boeing
Pre-Employment Training (BPET) certified courses. Application

Resume: Your resume should provide a comprehensive overview of your
hands-on tool experience and/or manufacturing skill sets. Primary
Responsibilities: Safety: Adhering strictly to all safety protocols
and guidelines to protect ourselves, our colleagues, and our
workplace. Safety is non-negotiable and must be integrated into
every task we perform. Quality: Maintaining rigorous quality
standards in all deliverables, ensuring that our work meets or
exceeds expectations and complies with all regulatory and company
requirements. Must successfully complete the new hire foundational
training to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
Proficient use of a computer in a dynamic production environment.
Look up/read/comprehend electronic technical work instructions,
drawings and/or specifications. Wear appropriate protective
clothing/equipment determined by the task performed. Operate
various mechanical lifts (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts).
Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as
screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity
testers. Install various aircraft system components and wiring such
as: tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, ducts, and
interior components. Route wire harnesses to supports, install
connectors to receptacles and electronic components. Fiber optic
clean and inspection, light loss testing, routing and installation.
Apply chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives,
paints and special finishes. Work in confined space and respirator
usage. Inspect your work quality and check for Foreign Object
Debris. Work around energized sources (electrical equipment and
hazards/shock, e.g. circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to
constant noise. Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other). Lifting
and carrying up to 10-35 pounds. Climbing/balancing (stairs,
ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), Crawling,
Crouching (squatting). Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent
back), Handling, Kneeling, Bending at the waist, Reaching
(overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Standing, Twisting at the waist
and walking. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The
selected candidate will be required to work onsite. This position
must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export
control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22
C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen,
lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills/ Experience): Be a student or recent graduate of a
Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) academic course or Military
Occupation Code that is certified for the BPET Assembly Structures
Mechanic role. Applicants must have a valid BPET Endorsement Form.
Physical demands and requirements: Must have the ability to work
variable shifts (first, second, or third) based on business needs.
Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as flexion and
extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling,
bending at the waist, reaching overhead, rotation of head/neck,
standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing
(stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling,
crouching (squatting). Ability to lift/carry up to 10-35 pounds.
Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals using proper protective
equipment provided. Ability to complete and maintain Confined Space
and Fall Protection certifications, as required. Experience using
software applications such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft
Office Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications.
Experience following detailed work instructions, reading and
interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, along with
successful completion of training and knowledge assessments
involving mathematical calculations, all conducted in English.
Experience in a manufacturing, technical, or mechanical field,
including equivalent military experience, performing work with
basic hand, power, and/or pneumatic (air) tools. Drug Free

variable shift (shift 4). Variable shift means you will be placed
