About the Role: As an Interior Installation Technician at PDS Tech Commercial, you will play a vital role in ensuring our aircraft interiors meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will contribute to the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our aircraft. Key Responsibilities: Aircraft Interior Installation: Safely remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interiors, including galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors, and panels. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Coordinate with supervision and inspection teams to ensure compliance with Repair Station procedures, FAA regulations, and quality specifications. Material Tracking: Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off work. Tool and Equipment Management: Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment, and maintain shop equipment and tools properly. Preparation and Installation: Prepare and install aircraft interior items in accordance with company procedures and quality standards. Hardware Application: Remove and re-install nut plates, inserts, and other fasteners used in aircraft interiors, ensuring proper use of hardware and fittings. Safety and Housekeeping: Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, and use personal protective equipment as required. Address unsafe conditions promptly. Support and Adaptability: Assist technicians with aircraft maintenance requirements and adapt to sudden schedule changes. Process Improvement: Work with lead and higher-skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma and other techniques. Qualifications: Required: High School Diploma or GED. 2 years of applicable installation, fabrication, or related experience. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation. Proficiency with hand/power tools and equipment associated with installation and removal of interiors. Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift. Computer literacy. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
