Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Distribution Engineer with 5 to 10
years of expertise in the design, development, and management of
utility distribution systems. This role is essential in ensuring
the reliability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of systems
delivering electrical power, water, natural gas, or
telecommunications services. The ideal candidate is a strategic
thinker with strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving
abilities, and a proactive approach to project execution and system
optimization. Key Responsibilities: System Design: Develop detailed
designs and layouts for distribution networks, including power
lines, pipelines, or telecom cables, tailored to project
specifications and regulatory standards. Network Optimization:
Enhance the efficiency and reliability of distribution systems
through data analysis, modeling, and system planning. Project
Management: Lead end-to-end project execution—planning, design,
implementation, and maintenance—while ensuring timeliness, budget
adherence, and quality delivery. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all
systems meet federal, state, and local safety, environmental, and
industry-specific regulations. Technical Analysis: Perform advanced
analysis such as load flow studies, fault analysis, and voltage
drop calculations to guarantee optimal system performance. System
Upgrades & Maintenance: Identify system improvement needs, develop
upgrade plans, and schedule preventative maintenance to minimize
downtime. Quality Assurance: Oversee design and construction
reviews to ensure alignment with engineering standards and best
practices. Documentation: Maintain precise records, schematics, and
technical documentation for current and historical project work.
Safety Leadership: Enforce safety protocols to protect field
personnel, clients, and the general public. Cross-functional
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, technicians,
and project managers to meet technical and operational objectives.
Customer & Stakeholder Support: Provide expert technical support
and address inquiries related to system functionality and
performance. Tools & Software Proficiency: JETS – for construction
print creation Socket – for load calculations OFS – for field
design and data collection Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering , Civil Engineering , or a related technical
discipline 5–10 years of relevant experience in distribution system
design and operations Strong working knowledge of distribution
design tools and engineering software Thorough understanding of
industry codes, standards, and compliance requirements Proven
project management capabilities, including planning, execution, and
budgeting Excellent written and verbal communication skills High
attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and quality
Adaptability to evolving technologies and industry advancements
