Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to provide comprehensive support within a K-12 school setting in Okatie, South Carolina. The position is contract-based for the current school year (CSY) and involves working onsite across various campuses. Locations include: Early Childhood program at Okatie Elementary Severe and Profound program at May River High School Key responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs from early childhood through high school Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies to optimize learning outcomes Maintain clear communication with families and school staff to support student growth Qualifications and desired experience: Valid state certification in Special Education Experience teaching students with a range of disabilities, including severe and profound needs Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices Ability to create an inclusive learning environment that fosters success for all students Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills Work schedule and environment: 37.5 hours per week, onsite in a supportive school community Contract duration aligned with the current school year This role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a significant impact on students educational journeys by providing critical special education services.
