collaborative work environment. We are seeking a skilled and
motivated Crew Chief to lead our surveying teams in the field. As a
Crew Chief, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing surveying
operations, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficiency. This
position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of
projects while leading a talented team of surveying professionals.
Candidates must have at least 3 years experience as a Crew Chief in
the land survey profession. Essential Functions and
Responsibilities: Lead and supervise survey crews in the field,
assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to project specifications
and timelines. Conduct field surveys using advanced surveying
equipment, including total stations, GPS, and data collectors.
Perform boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction
staking, and other surveying tasks as required. Interpret survey
data and prepare accurate field notes, sketches, and reports.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure
project objectives are met. Maintain survey equipment in proper
working condition and perform routine maintenance as needed. Adhere
to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working
environment for the survey crew. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying,
3 years as a Crew Chief with a proven track record of leadership.
This position will require driving a company vehicle. Therefore, a
valid driver's license and no infractions for a minimum of 3 years
is required to be approved to drive a company vehicle and added to
the company insurance policy. Proficiency in using surveying
equipment such as total stations, GPS, and data collectors. Strong
understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and
methodologies. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and
independently. Proficiency in OSHA safety regulations. Must be
willing and able to enroll in OSHA and other compliance and policy
programs. The ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift 75 lbs.
Mental and physical labors are to be expected. Honest, dependable,
thorough, safety-conscious, and possessing a strong work ethic.
Must be self-driven with little to no supervision. Benefits: Health
